The apartment (1100 sq ft) is located in a quiet street in downtown Avignon. It is on the first floor - second floor (US) - of a 17th century private mansion (Hôtel Particulier).
The apartment has two ensuites, one living room and a fully equipped kitchen. It is suitable for one to two couples.
The building, which is designated historical monument, belonged to Nicolas Mignard, court painter to Louis XIV of which you may have admired some paintings at Carnavalet Museum in Paris. Mignard was also a friend of Molière and welcomed him several times at his place.
The apartment kept its charm intact : original moldings, high ceilings, large windows, old fireplaces and authentic terracotta tiles.
As I like to browse at the charming flea-markets of the region, I have personnaly furnished the apartment to fit with its historical equity.
During your French immersion, you will have the whole apartment to yourself. I live only 10 minutes away from the apartment so I will come to you everyday for the classes and meals. You will feel very independent and at the same time, I won't be far if needed!

Despite the historical authenticity of the place, you will enjoy a very modern kitchen with full amenities.
The apartment is located right in the heart of Avignon (inside the city walls), which gives you easy access to all the tourist attractions, museums, shops —even fancy clothes boutiques, just a short walk away.
